The U13 Colts brought the curtain down on an impressive campaign with a visit to Lincoln Water Park on Sunday, where they held their end-of-season presentations.

The team have enjoyed a busy and brilliant year, finishing in fifth place in the Jack Kalson Junior League’s Cobweb Crystal Division, bringing home a trophy from the Catenaccio tournament in Cleethorpes and establishing new friendships with friendly games against a clutch of teams in the Mid-Lincs County Youth League.

Well done to all players for their contributions, but especially award winners Joseph (Manager’s Special Award, pictured centre), Finlay (Manager’s Player of the Year, right) and Archie (Players’ Player of the Year, left).

Reflecting on the team’s efforts, coach Chris Sumpter said: “We won some games and lost some games, but whatever the result the boys played with smiles on their faces and ended the season a closer, better group than which started the campaign.

“Their enthusiasm to keep bettering themselves drives me on as their coach and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can achieve next season.”
