The Jack Kalson Junior League has confirmed that all scheduled matches this weekend have been postponed following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The announcement comes alongside a wider update from the Football Association that all football fixtures between September 9-11 will be cancelled as a mark of respect.
“Her Majesty the Queen was a long-standing patron of The Football Association and has left a lasting and indelible legacy on our national game,” a spokesman for the governing body said.
All at Scotter Junior Football Club would like to express our sincere sadness and sympathy at the passing of our Queen.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to all of the Royal Family at this incredibly difficult and sad time, as we come together with the rest of the nation to mourn her loss.
We are asking all of our teams to observe a period of respect this weekend, with no club activities to take place.
We will clarify the position moving forward on Monday, when further guidance and information is available.
