The U9 Saints enjoyed a trip to the seaside on Saturday, as they finished runners-up in the Cleethorpes Town five-a-side tournament.

Against some very good teams, they finished top of the table during an unbeaten group stage of the competition, scoring 14 goals and conceding only twice.

After having the edge in their semi-final match, nerves set in for the final against hosts Cleethorpes Town Rashford Blue – who finished the day as deserved winners. Well done to them for their performance.

The Saints were understandably gutted when it came to presentations – but can hold their heads high for another brilliant day’s football, and a team performance that did the club proud.
