The U9 Saints brought the curtain down on their Jack Kalson Junior League season with one of their best performances of the year against Bottesford Town last weekend.
It highlighted the progress they have made during the last few months, in what has been their first experience of being in the top division at the age group.
They built from the back and played through the thirds, always looking to run in behind and find a killer pass.
And more impressively – when things didn’t go their way – they persevered, stuck to their playing style and were rewarded with some fantastic team goals.
All in all, against a visiting team who also knocked the ball around well, it was a great game to watch.
Understandably, after what’s been a brilliant campaign, they were all smiles come the final whistle.
