The Bank H
oliday weekend is a big one for the U9 Saints, who’ve reached the final of the Jack Kalson Junior League’s U9 Cup in what has been their first experience of cup football.

They’ve been involved in some incredibly close and entertaining games on their way to securing their place in the final, where they will be seeking one more good performance against Dale Park.
Win or lose though on Saturday, they’ve enjoyed a brilliant campaign – and we’re incredibly proud of the progress they continue to make.
Ahead of the weekend, we caught up with coach Paul Farman to find out what has been key to their efforts this season.
He said: “The whole team has have worked incredibly hard this season in both training and games.
“Many players have been practising outside of training, attending half-term football camps both in the village and further afield – even Turkey.
“As a coach, I could not ask any more of them individually or as a team and I’m really proud of all our achievements.
“Reaching a final in our first cup competition is a great effort but win or lose, the greatest achievement is the team we have become; the friendship which has grown and the support we have received from each and every player.
“I’m excited for the boys to be able to showcase their football skills this weekend, and playing the game they love with a smile on their face is all we need.”
Saturday’s game takes place at Dale Park, with a 11.30am kick-off. All support is welcome. Good luck from all connected with the club.
