Tournaments have proved a bit like the proverbial buses for the U7 Colts, who – a week on from taking part in the Messingham Tournament – were in action at Bottesford Town on Sunday.
They enjoyed a brilliant day, which included a very successful group stage of the competition in which they won four of their six matches – including a narrow victory against the U7 Juniors in what was an entertaining and well-contested derby!
The Colts overcame Bottesford Avengers in the quarter-finals to reach the last four, where they were edged out by a strong Discoveries Olympics team who went on to be crowned winners of the competition.
The day ended with well-deserved ice creams all round!
