The smile on the face of the U7 Colts’ James tells the story of how his Saturday went!
Having been in contention for the Player of the Week accolade most weeks, James got his hands on the trophy this weekend, in what was another impressive team display at Barton United Cobras.
A composed performance in goal, which saw him make some great saves, was matched by a solid effort when he came out to play in defence.
Other highlights from the game – which included battling a chilly breeze from off the Humber as well as the opposition – included more goals for Alfie D and Fin, and excellent performances in midfield from Quinn and Willow, who also looked very good in a new position at the back.
