The U14 Colts made progress in the U14 Divisional Trophy on Sunday morning with some fine individual goals complementing a strong team performance.

Forward Filip bagged himself a brace in the victory – one strike of which came courtesy of excellent control and finishing technique to find the top corner – and was an important link player in some of the team’s best attacking play, often showing good positional awareness.

His efforts saw him pick up the team’s Martin O’Hara – Mortgage Advisor at JDW sponsored man-of-the-match trophy, though there were no shortage of contenders for the prize.

Other scorers included Archie, Finn, Rykie and Alfie, while Thomas and Cory were both on the mark with brilliantly-struck free-kicks.

Well done to all of the team for booking their place in the quarter-finals of the competition, in which they will face a tough trip to Caistor Crusaders.
