Grit and determination were key elements of a big three points for the U13 Colts on Sunday, as they secured back-to-back wins with a close 2-1 success at App-Frod Juniors.

Typifying their battling qualities – as well as contributing a fine individual strike – was midfielder Finlay, who helped himself to a second goal in as many weeks on the back of a mazy forward run.

His efforts saw him named man-of-the-match and pick up the team’s Awards FC trophy.

There are also special mentions for Filip, for putting the Colts ahead, and the whole team for their willingness to press from the front and deny their hosts time on the ball in what was an end-to-end and entertaining contest.
