The U13 Colts were unable to end their Jack Kalson Junior League season on a winning note when beaten 4-2 by Discoveries Howdens in their final game on Sunday.
Nevertheless, it’s been an excellent campaign for the team with progression across the board both individually and as a collective.
Man of the match at the weekend, picking up the team’s Awards FC trophy, was Alfie – who highlighted his versatility with a committed and lively performance in a variety of different roles.
Direct and keen to push the team forward when out wide, he also displayed his tenacity and ability to read the game when switched to a defensive midfield position, in which he also proved a first line of attack.
Well done to him for his performance and the team for a hard-working display that deserved more reward.
They will look to further their progress in a series of friendly matches before their summer break.
