Proving that teamwork makes the dream work on and off the field, it was great to see a handful of players helping out with pitch maintenance work at the Village Hall over the weekend.
With parts of the playing surface still needing some work on the back of the dry summer, and continued chafer grub problems – who better to help out than those who use it the most?!
Well done to the U10 Saints’ Alfie, Ben and Reuben, the U7 Juniors’ Jude, and Ruby for their efforts in repairing the dry areas on the seven-a-side and nine-a-side pitches.
They put in a solid couple of hours work as they get ready for their first games of the season this coming Saturday.
