We’ve been to check out the Village Hall playing field pitches this morning (and found the remnants of this chap also having a look!) and have taken the decision to postpone all three of our scheduled Saturday home games.
Although the earlier snow is melting, it remains bitterly cold and temperatures are forecast to drop as low as -3C overnight. With pitches already starting to become waterlogged in areas, conditions will not be safe for football.
We apologise for any inconvenience and frustration this causes, but the safety and well-being of all players, not just our own, will always be our priority.
