The U7 Juniors began their first-ever season in the Jack Kalson Junior League at Bottesford Town Lions on Saturday.

While the result did not go their way despite a performance full of effort and determination, the game ended with plenty of smiles on faces.

Archie sported one of the biggest after being named coaches’ player of the match on the back a fine display in defence, and some great saves during a stint in goal.

Well done to him and the rest of the team for their efforts, which included staging a minute’s silence in memory of the Queen prior to kick-off.
