Scotter Junior Football Club are proud to support Safer Internet Day

As well as being busy on the pitch, we’d also class ourselves as pretty active when it comes to our digital footprint – making the most of the opportunity to keep parents up to date with what’s going on at the club, and using it as a platform to show how proud we are of our players.
But while we’re keen to use our social media accounts and club website to support our sponsors, and sing about any achievements, we’re committed to doing so safely and responsibly.
We understand that the FA’s requirements around safeguarding apply to an online environment as much as the offline world, and aim to follow best practice in social media and technology use – adhering to FA guidance.
As part of that commitment, we’ve signed up as a supporter of today’s Safer Internet Day – and are keen to help promote safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.
You can find information on the FA’s approach to safeguarding, including how the responsibilities of club officials, match officials and parents/carers involved in football apply online, by clicking here.
For resources and educational packs tailored for 3-18 year olds, which are part of the UK Safer Internet Centre’s work to put children and young people’s voices at the forefront of this year’s Safer Internet Day, visit here.
Copies of our club Social Media Policy are available on request, and we’re always keen to hear of any comments or concerns you may have around our use of digital platforms. All enquiries will be handled in the strictest confidence.
