There was only one contender for man-of-the-match honours as the U13 Colts returned to Jack Kalson League action with a tough trip to Brigg Town on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Joseph was in excellent form as the side slipped to an 8-1 loss at the new Cobweb Crystal Division leaders, pulling off a string of fine saves and showing bravery and good positional awareness to prevent an even bigger margin of defeat.
His efforts deservedly earned him the team’s Awards FC trophy, and complement what has already been an excellent season.
The Colts will be hoping to build on a solid first-half performance against Brigg, on the back of which they trailed only 2-1 at the break, when they host Crosby United this weekend.
