All at Scotter Junior Football Club are deeply saddened to have learned of the passing of Phil Markham, a great friend to many connected with the club and a devoted coach.

To honour and recognise his contribution over the years, all weekend matches at the Village Hall and North Moor Park will stage a minute’s applause prior to kick-off.

Although having coached with teams elsewhere previously, Phil initially got involved with Scotter Juniors when taking over the running of his stepson Jimmy’s team, and also coached his son Alex’s team – taking them right the way through from U6 to U17. For a period he ran both teams at the same time.

Our sincere condolences go to his family, friends and many former players.
