Hitting new heights! U9 Saints celebrate great season at Go Ape

On Saturday, the U9 Saints reached even higher heights – if that’s possible on the back of what has been an excellent season – with a visit for the squad and siblings to Go Ape at Normanby Hall.
We’re told the boys had a truly tree-ific time (blame coach Paul for that dad joke!) and were in their element swinging from tree to tree, before they held their presentation at Three Horseshoes in Scotton.
The award ceremony wasn’t dampened by a bit of wet weather, with all of the team collecting a trophy to acknowledge their part in a truly remarkable campaign – pictures from which can be found at our Facebook page, here.
Special awards were issued to Harry (Most Improved Player), Jake (Parents’ Player of the Year) and Reuben (Clubman of the Year).
Reflecting on the team’s achievements, coach Paul Farman said: “It’s been a season we couldn’t haven written. The boys have been absolutely outstanding and I couldn’t be more proud of them.
“Every single player has contributed to the wonderful season we have had and I know they will continue to shine next season.
“We’ve got two tournaments left and then it’s time for a well-earned rest, although I know the boys will be itching to start pre-season training soon.”
Well done to all concerned.
