Back on home turf, the U12 Juniors enjoyed another big ‘W’ at the weekend, beating Caistor Tennyson Tigers 4-1 courtesy of a performance in which they kept their shape well and were always on the front foot.

Two wind-assisted goals from corners set them on their way to victory, before a more disciplined second half display saw them create plenty of opportunities from open play.

Harry (pictured on the right) picked up the team’s Awards FC Player of the Match trophy for a very composed defensive display in which he dominated his opponents, helped the team keep its defensive shape and played intelligent balls out from the back.

Troy was voted Parents’ Player of the Match, having linked play well and always made himself an outlet to progress the ball into the attacking third.

Well done to the whole team for a third straight victory, which took them to the top of the Jack Kalson League U12 Barclays Division.
