Phil initially got involved with the club when taking over the running of his stepson Jimmy’s team, and also coached his son Alex’s team – taking them right the way through from U6 to U17. For a period he ran both teams at the same time.
To honour his memory, and to raise money for Mind – a charity close to his heart – some of Phil’s former players, along with friends and family, are to provide a feast of football and entertainment.
As well as the match, which kicks off at 11.30am, there will be a bouncy castle, a raffle and refreshments available.
